I’d Run That Tee, Part 2

The second in our 3-part series on “I’d Run That’ is Beach-y.

It’s summer, and we’re dreaming of beach running, where landscapes are bright and the conditions are hot and humid and, well, gross.

But not for ultra runners.

It’s on the beach where we hear the calm of the water lapping against the shore. The sand is cool beneath our feet. Palm trees creak and sway to wind’s rhythm. Seagulls and seashells are our only friends.

But that hot, bright fireball in the sky reminds us why we do this: when everything around us tries to stop us, we pull ourselves from the darkest of mindsets across that finish line.

I’d run that.
