COLLIERVILLE, TN
I’m a resident of Tennessee, but born and raised in Florida until I was 25. Moved to Memphis, TN in 2005. I was a runner in high school and played soccer a whole lot after the move to Memphis. I found out in 2015 that I was going to be a father to twins named Owen and Olivia, and that was the turning point for me. I needed to get healthy. So weighing around 260 lbs I transformed my body. First year of running I finished my first ever half marathon at the Nashville Rock and Roll half, then I became obsessed. I have since finished upwards of about 30 half marathons, 15 10Ks, and more than enough 5Ks. It was 2018 that converted me over to trails and I have never looked back. My first 25K was in 2018 just months after learning my daughter was fighting leukemia and then my first 50K was 2019 finishing 2 seconds before the 9 hour cutoff. I was so proud. 2020 was my year and that was thanks to COVID. I racked up about 700 miles in 3 months putting my body in its best shape. I have now completed 4 50Ks, 1 50 miler (virtual event I actually created myself), and several other 25Ks. I loved trail running so much though I couldn’t stop there and decided to become a race director and now put on an amazing event called Stanky Creek Trail Race in Bartlett, TN that benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Had to do an event that gave back to a cause that saved my daughter’s life. I am also currently pursuing my coaching certification as an Ultra Running Coach.
